26 Một ngày nọ, một thiên thần tên là Gabriel đến một thị trấn tên là Nazareth. One day, an angel named Gabriel went to a town called Nazareth. 27 Ngài đến thăm một trinh nữ trẻ tên là Mary, người sắp kết hôn với một người đàn ông tên là Joseph. He visited a young virgin named Mary who was going to marry a man named Joseph. 28 Gabriel nói, 'Xin chào Mary… Chúa nói, Xin chào!'. Gabriel said, 'Hi Mary… God says, Hi!' 29 Mary rất ngạc nhiên và bối rối. Mary was surprised and confused. 30 Thiên thần Gabriel nói với cô: "Mary đừng sợ, Chúa rất thích em. The angel Gabriel told her, 'Don't be afraid, Mary. God likes you a lot. 31 Em sắp sinh một bé trai và em sẽ đặt tên là Jesus. 13 Thiên sứ nói với Xa-cha-ri, 'Đừng sợ. Chúa đã nghe. Ê-li-sa-bét vợ ngươi sẽ có một con trai, và ngươi sẽ đặt tên cho nó là Giăng. The angel said to Zechariah, 'Don't be afraid. God heard. Your wife Elizabeth will have a baby boy, and you will name him John. 14 Bạn sẽ hạnh phúc, và nhiều người sẽ hạnh phúc khi cậu bé chào đời. You will be happy, and lots of people will be happy when he is born. 15 John sẽ là một người đặc biệt đối với Chúa. Anh ấy sẽ không uống đồ uống có cồn. He will walk before the coming Messiah, in the spirit and power of Elijah, helping people be good and listen to their parents, and get ready for the Lord.'
8 Xa-cha-ri đang làm công việc của thầy tế lễ. Zechariah was doing his job as a priest. 9 Ông được chọn để đi vào Đền Thờ Chúa và thắp hương. He was picked to go into the Lord’s Temple and burn incense. 10 Rất nhiều người đã ở bên ngoài nói chuyện với Chúa. Lots of people were outside talking to God. 11 Một thiên sứ từ Đức Chúa Trời đến đứng bên phải bàn hương án. An angel from God came and stood at the right side of the incense table. 12 Khi Xa-cha-ri nhìn thấy thiên sứ, ông sợ hãi. When Zechariah saw the angel, he was afraid.
