49 While he yet spake, there cometh one from the ruler of the synagogue's house, saying to him, Thy daughter is dead; trouble not the Master. 50 Chúa Jêsus nghe vậy, liền bảo người cha: “Đừng sợ, chỉ cần tin thì con gái ông sẽ sống”. 50 But when Jesus heard it, he answered him, saying, Fear not: believe only, and she shall be made whole.

41 Bấy giờ, có một người tên là Giai-ru, là người cai nhà hội, đến, sấp mình dưới chân Đức Chúa Jêsus, và nài xin Ngài đến nhà mình, 41 And, behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue: and he fell down at Jesus' feet, and besought him that he would come into his house: 42 vì đứa con gái duy nhất của ông, độ mười hai tuổi, sắp chết. Khi Đức Chúa Jêsus đi, đám đông chen lấn Ngài. 42 For he had one only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she lay a dying. But as he went the people thronged him. 43 Một người đàn bà bị băng huyết mười hai năm, đã tốn hết tiền của chạy thuốc mà không khỏi, 43 And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, 44 đến gần Chúa Jêsus từ phía sau. Họ ra khơi. 22 Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth. 23 Khi họ đang chèo thuyền, Chúa Giê-xu ngủ thiếp đi. Bỗng có cơn bão ập đến, nước tràn vào hồ, và họ bị ngập, và đang gặp nguy hiểm. 23 But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy. 24 Họ đến với Chúa Giê-xu, đánh thức Ngài và kêu lên: "Thầy ơi, Thầy ơi, chúng ta chết mất!" Ngài đứng dậy, quở gió và nước đang chảy xiết. Chúng liền im lặng, và sóng lặng như tờ. 24 And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm. 25 Ngài hỏi: "Đức tin các ngươi ở đâu?" Họ sợ hãi, và kinh ngạc, tự hỏi nhau: "Người này là ai mà ra lệnh cho gió và nước, và chúng phải tuân lệnh?" 25 And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him. 26 Họ đến vùng Ga-đa-ra, đối diện với Ga-li-lê. 26 And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is over against Galilee. 27 Khi Ngài vừa lên bờ, có một người từ thành phố bị quỷ ám ra đón Ngài. Anh ta đã lâu không mặc quần áo, không ở trong nhà, mà ở giữa các mồ mả. 27 And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs. 28 Khi thấy Đức Giê-su, anh ta kêu lên, sấp mình xuống trước mặt Người và kêu lớn tiếng rằng: "Lạy Đức Giê-su, Con Đức Chúa Trời Tối Cao, việc gì đến tôi? Tôi van xin Người, đừng hành hạ tôi!" 28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not. 29 Đức Giê-su truyền cho tà linh ô uế ra khỏi anh ta. Nhiều lần tà linh đã bắt anh ta. Các quỷ nài xin Đức Giê-su cho phép chúng nhập vào bầy heo, và Người đã nhập vào chúng. 32 And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them. 33 Bấy giờ các quỷ ra khỏi người đó nhập vào bầy heo. Cả bầy heo lao xuống bờ dốc và chết đuối. 33 Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked. 34 Những người chăn chiên thấy sự việc xảy ra, liền chạy đi báo tin khắp thành phố và miền quê. 34 When they that fed them saw what was done, they fled, and went and told it in the city and in the country. 35 Bấy giờ, dân chúng đi xem sự việc đã xảy ra, đến cùng Đức Chúa Jêsus, thấy người đã được trừ quỷ, đang ngồi dưới chân Đức Chúa Jêsus, mặc quần áo và tỉnh táo. Họ sợ hãi. 35 Then they went out to see what was done; and came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid. 36 Những người chứng kiến người bị quỷ ám đã được chữa lành, thuật lại tin tức cho những người mới đến. 36 They also which saw it told them by what means he that was possessed of the devils was healed. 37 Bấy giờ, cả đám đông từ miền Ga-đa-ra xin Đức Chúa Jêsus đi, vì họ sợ hãi lắm. Ngài xuống thuyền trở về. 37 Then the whole multitude of the country of the Gadarenes round about besought him to depart from them; for they were taken with great fear: and he went up into the ship, and returned back again. 38 Người đã được trừ quỷ nài xin đi với Đức Chúa Jêsus, nhưng Chúa đã đuổi người ấy đi và nói rằng: 38 Now the man out of whom the devils were departed besought him that he might be with him: but Jesus sent him away, saying, 39 "Hãy về nhà và thuật lại những điều Đức Chúa Trời đã làm cho ngươi." Người ấy đi và rao truyền khắp thành phố về những điều Đức Chúa Jêsus đã làm cho mình. 39 Return to thine own house, and shew how great things God hath done unto thee. And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city how great things Jesus had done unto him. 40 Đức Chúa Jêsus trở về, và đám đông chào đón Ngài, vì mọi người đều đang trông đợi Ngài. 40 And it came to pass, that, when Jesus was returned, the people gladly received him: for they were all waiting for him.
5 Một người nông dân đi ra gieo giống của mình. Khi ông gieo, một số hạt giống rơi xuống vệ đường, bị chim trời giẫm đạp hoặc ăn mất. 5 A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it. 6 Một số hạt giống khác rơi vào đất đá; khi lớn lên, nó héo vì không có độ ẩm. 6 And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture. 7 Một số hạt giống khác rơi vào bụi gai, bụi gai mọc lên cùng với hạt giống và làm nó nghẹt thở. 7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it. 8 Một số hạt giống khác rơi vào đất tốt, nó mọc lên và sinh hoa trái gấp trăm lần. Sau khi kết thúc dụ ngôn này, Ngài kêu lên: "Ai có tai để nghe, hãy nghe." 8 And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. 9 Các môn đồ hỏi Người về ý nghĩa của dụ ngôn này, 9 And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be? 10 Người giải thích: "Các con được ban cho khả năng biết được sự mầu nhiệm của vương quốc Thiên Chúa, nhưng với những người khác, Ta dùng dụ ngôn để họ có thể nhìn thấy mà không thấy, có thể nghe mà không hiểu. 10 And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand. 11 Đây là dụ ngôn: hạt giống là lời của Thiên Chúa; 11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. 12 những người đứng bên đường là những người nghe; rồi ma quỷ đến và lấy lời đó khỏi lòng họ, để họ không tin và được cứu. 12 Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
1 Sau đó, Ngài đi qua các thành phố và làng mạc, rao giảng Tin Mừng về Vương quốc Thiên Chúa. Cùng đi với Ngài có mười hai sứ đồ 1 And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him, 2 và một số phụ nữ đã được chữa lành khỏi quỷ dữ và bệnh tật: Maria Mađalêna (người đã được trừ khỏi bảy quỷ), 2 And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils, 3 Joanna (vợ của Chuza, quản gia của Hêrôđê), Susanna và nhiều người khác nữa. Họ đã ủng hộ Ngài bằng tiền của họ. 3 And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance. 4 Một đám đông lớn từ mọi thành phố đến với Ngài, và Ngài đã kể một dụ ngôn: 4 And when much people were gathered together, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable:
44 Ngài quay lại người đàn bà và nói với Si-môn, "Ngươi thấy người đàn bà này không? Ta đã vào nhà ngươi, và ngươi không cho nước rửa chân Ta; nhưng người đàn bà này đã làm ướt chân Ta bằng nước mắt, rồi lấy tóc mình lau khô. 44 And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head. 45 Ngươi không hôn Ta, nhưng từ khi Ta đến, bà ấy không ngừng hôn chân Ta. 45 Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet. 46 Ngươi không xức dầu trên đầu Ta, nhưng bà ấy đã xức dầu thơm cho chân Ta. 46 My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment. 47 Vậy nên, Ta bảo ngươi, tội lỗi của bà ấy nhiều lắm đã được tha, vì bà đã yêu nhiều; nhưng ai được tha ít thì yêu ít. 47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little. 48 Ngài nói với người đàn bà, "Tội lỗi của ngươi đã được tha." 48 And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven. 49 Những người ngồi cùng bàn với Ngài bắt đầu nói với nhau, "Người này là ai mà tha thứ tội lỗi?" 49 And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also? 50 Đức Chúa Jêsus phán với người đàn bà, "Đức tin của ngươi đã cứu ngươi. Hãy đi bình an." 50 And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.
38 Bà đứng đằng sau Chúa, dưới chân Người, khóc lóc, rồi lấy nước mắt làm ướt chân Người, rồi lấy tóc mình lau khô. Bà dịu dàng hôn chân Người và đổ nước hoa lên chân Người. 38 And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment. 39 Người Pha-ri-si đã mời Chúa Giê-su thấy việc bà làm, thì tự nhủ: "Nếu người này là tiên tri, hẳn phải biết người phụ nữ đeo bám mình là ai và thuộc loại nào: cô ta là một tội nhân." 39 Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner. 40 Chúa Giê-su nói với ông: "Si-môn, tôi có điều muốn nói với ông." Ông đáp: "Thưa Thầy, xin Thầy cứ nói." 40 And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on. 41 Một chủ nợ nọ có hai con nợ, một người nợ một trăm đồng, người kia nợ mười đồng. 41 There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty. 42 Khi họ không có khả năng trả nợ, chủ nợ đã tha cho cả hai. Ai sẽ yêu chủ nợ hơn? 42 And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most? 43 Simon trả lời: "Tôi cho là người được chủ nợ tha nhiều hơn." Chúa Giê-su đáp: "Ngươi nói đúng." 43 Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.
32 Họ giống như những đứa trẻ ngồi ngoài chợ và gọi nhau rằng: "Chúng tôi đã thổi sáo, nhưng các ngươi không nhảy múa; chúng tôi đã than khóc, nhưng các ngươi không khóc lóc." 32 They are like unto children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another, and saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned to you, and ye have not wept. 33 Giăng, người dìm mình, không ăn bánh, không uống rượu, thì các ngươi nói: "Ông ta bị quỷ ám." 33 For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a devil. 34 Con người đã đến, ăn và uống, thì các ngươi nói: "Kìa! 34 The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners! 35 Nhưng sự khôn ngoan được biện minh bởi tất cả con cái của bà. 35 But wisdom is justified of all her children. 36 Một người Pha-ri-si mời Chúa Giê-su dùng bữa với mình.
