33 Ông thưa với Ngài: “Lạy Chúa, con sẵn sàng đi với Chúa cả vào tù và chịu chết.” 33 And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death. 34 Đức Chúa Giê-su đáp: “Ta nói thật với ngươi, Phi-e-rơ, cho đến khi ngươi chối bỏ ta ba lần thì gà trống cũng không gáy.” 34 And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me. 35 Ngài hỏi họ: “Khi ta sai các ngươi đi mà không mang theo túi tiền, bao tải và dép, các ngươi có thiếu thốn gì không?” Họ đáp: “Không thiếu thốn gì cả.” 35 And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing. 36 Ngài nói tiếp: “Nhưng bây giờ, ai có túi tiền thì hãy mang theo; ai không có gươm thì hãy bán áo mình mà mua một cái. 36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one. 37 Ta nói thật với các ngươi, điều đã chép về ta chắc chắn đã được ứng nghiệm: ‘Người bị ghi vào số tội phạm’; vì điều đã chép về ta đã được ứng nghiệm.” 37 For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in me, And he was reckoned among the transgressors: for the things concerning me have an end. 38 Họ thưa: “Lạy Chúa, kìa! 28 Ngươi đã ở bên ta trong những lúc ta gặp thử thách; 28 Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations. 29 và ta giao cho ngươi một vương quốc, cũng như Cha ta đã giao cho ta một vương quốc, 29 And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me; 30 để ngươi được ăn uống tại bàn của ta trong vương quốc của ta; và ngươi sẽ ngồi trên ngai vàng, xét xử mười hai chi phái Y-sơ-ra-ên. 30 That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 31 Si-môn, Si-môn, Sa-tan đã xin phép để thử thách ngươi như lúa mì, 31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: 32 nhưng ta đã cầu nguyện cho ngươi, để đức tin của ngươi không suy yếu; và khi ngươi trở về, hãy củng cố anh em ngươi. 32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
24 Bấy giờ, giữa họ xảy ra tranh luận về việc ai được công nhận là người lớn nhất. 24 And there was also a strife among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest. 25 Đức Chúa Giê-su nói với họ: “Các vua dân ngoại cai trị dân chúng, và những người có quyền cai quản dân chúng được gọi là ân nhân. 25 And he said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors. 26 Nhưng các ngươi không được như vậy. Người lớn nhất trong các ngươi phải như người nhỏ nhất, người lãnh đạo phải như người đầy tớ. 26 But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve. 27 Ai lớn hơn, người ngồi ăn hay người phục vụ? Há chẳng phải người ngồi ăn lớn hơn sao? Nhưng ta ở giữa các ngươi như người phục vụ.” 27 For whether is greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth.
14 Giờ đã đến, Đức Chúa Giê-su ngồi vào bàn với các sứ đồ. 14 And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him. 15 Ngài nói với họ: “Ta rất mong muốn ăn bữa tiệc Vượt Qua này với các ngươi trước khi Ta chịu khổ nạn, 15 And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer: 16 vì Ta bảo thật các ngươi, các ngươi sẽ không ăn bữa tiệc này nữa cho đến khi Nước Đức Chúa Trời hoàn thành.” 16 For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God. 17 Ngài cầm lấy chén, tạ ơn, và nói: “Hãy cầm lấy chén này và chia cho nhau. 17 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves: 18 Ta bảo thật các ngươi, từ nay về sau, Ta sẽ không uống rượu nho nữa cho đến khi Nước Đức Chúa Trời đến.” 18 For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come. 19 Ngài cầm lấy bánh, tạ ơn, bẻ ra, và trao cho họ, mà nói: “Đây là thân thể Ta, đã phó cho các ngươi. Hãy làm điều này để tưởng nhớ Ta.” 19 And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. 20 Sau bữa ăn tối, Ngài cầm lấy chén, và nói: “Chén này là giao ước mới trong huyết Ta, huyết đã đổ ra vì các ngươi. 20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you. 21 Nhưng kìa! Tay kẻ phản bội Ta đang ở trên bàn. 21 But, behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table. 22 Con Người sẽ đi theo như đã được định trước, nhưng khốn cho kẻ nào phản bội Ngài.” 22 And truly the Son of man goeth, as it was determined: but woe unto that man by whom he is betrayed! 23 Họ bắt đầu bàn tán với nhau xem ai trong số họ sẽ làm việc này. 23 And they began to enquire among themselves, which of them it was that should do this thing.
10 Ông nói: "Này! Khi các ngươi vào thành, sẽ có một người mang bình nước gặp các ngươi; hãy theo người ấy vào nhà người ấy, 10 And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in. 11 và nói với chủ nhà rằng: 'Thầy hỏi: 'Phòng khách ở đâu để ta có thể ăn Lễ Vượt Qua với các môn đồ của ta?'" 11 And ye shall say unto the goodman of the house, The Master saith unto thee, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples? 12 Người ấy sẽ chỉ cho các ngươi một phòng lớn có đầy đủ đồ đạc ở trên lầu. Hãy chuẩn bị Lễ Vượt Qua ở đó. 12 And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready. 13 Họ đi và thấy mọi sự đúng như Chúa đã dặn, rồi chuẩn bị Lễ Vượt Qua. 13 And they went, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.
7 Đến ngày lễ bánh không men, tức là phải dâng lễ Vượt Qua. 7 Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed. 8 Đức Chúa Giê-su sai Phi-e-rơ và Giăng đi, dặn rằng: “Hãy đi chuẩn bị lễ Vượt Qua cho chúng ta.” 8 And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat. 9 Họ thưa với Ngài: “Thầy muốn chúng con chuẩn bị ở đâu?” 9 And they said unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare?
3 Sa-tan nhập vào Giu-đa Íscariot – một trong mười hai môn đồ – 3 Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve. 4 và hắn đi ra bàn bạc với các thầy tế lễ thượng phẩm và các quan tổng đốc về cách nộp Chúa Giê-su cho họ. 4 And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him unto them. 5 Họ vui mừng và hứa sẽ cho hắn tiền. 5 And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money. 6 Hắn đồng ý và bắt đầu tìm cơ hội để nộp Ngài cho họ khi không có đám đông. 6 And he promised, and sought opportunity to betray him unto them in the absence of the multitude.
1 Lễ bánh không men sắp đến gần, tức là Lễ Vượt Qua. 1 Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover. 2 Các thầy tế lễ thượng phẩm và các thầy dạy luật tìm cách hãm hại Ngài, nhưng họ sợ dân chúng. 2 And the chief priests and scribes sought how they might kill him; for they feared the people.
29 Rồi Ngài phán dạy họ bằng dụ ngôn rằng: “Hãy xem cây vả và tất cả các cây khác; 29 And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; 30 khi chúng đâm chồi nảy lộc, các ngươi thấy thế nào thì biết mùa hè gần đến. 30 When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. 31 Cũng vậy, khi các ngươi thấy những điều ấy, các ngươi biết nước Đức Chúa Trời gần đến. 31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. 32 Thật vậy, ta bảo thật các ngươi, thế hệ này sẽ không qua đi cho đến khi mọi sự xảy ra. 32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. 33 Trời đất sẽ qua đi, nhưng lời ta sẽ không bao giờ qua đi. 33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. 34 Hãy cẩn thận, kẻo lòng các ngươi nặng trĩu vì ăn chơi trác táng, rượu và những lo âu của đời sống hằng ngày. Ngày ấy sẽ đến bất ngờ trên các ngươi 34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. 35 như một cái bẫy; nó sẽ đến trên mọi người sống trên mặt đất. 35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 36 Hãy tỉnh thức và cầu nguyện không ngừng, để các ngươi có thể thoát khỏi mọi điều sắp xảy ra và đứng trước mặt Con Người.” 36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. 37 Ngài tiếp tục giảng dạy trong đền thờ mỗi ngày, và mỗi đêm ở trên núi Ô-liu. 37 And in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives. 38 Mọi người đều đến đền thờ từ sáng sớm mỗi ngày để nghe Ngài giảng. 38 And all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple, for to hear him.
26 Loài người sẽ mất lòng tin vì sợ hãi trước những điều sắp xảy đến trên thế gian, vì các quyền lực trên trời sẽ bị lay chuyển. 26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. 27 Bấy giờ, họ sẽ thấy Con Người đến trong đám mây với quyền năng và vinh quang lớn lao. 27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 Khi những điều ấy bắt đầu, hãy đứng thẳng và ngẩng đầu lên, vì sự cứu chuộc các ngươi đã gần kề. 28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
