69 Nhưng từ nay về sau, Con Người sẽ ngồi bên hữu quyền năng của Đức Chúa Trời. 69 Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God. 70 Tất cả đều hỏi: “Vậy, Ngài là Con Đức Chúa Trời sao?” Ngài đáp: “Chính các ông nói rằng Ta là.” 70 Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am. 71 Họ thốt lên: “Chúng ta còn cần thêm lời chứng nào nữa? Chính chúng ta đã nghe điều đó từ miệng Ngài.” 71 And they said, What need we any further witness? for we ourselves have heard of his own mouth.
66 Khi trời sáng, các trưởng lão trong dân (gồm cả các thượng tế và các kinh sư) nhóm họp lại và đưa Ngài vào hội đồng của họ, 66 And as soon as it was day, the elders of the people and the chief priests and the scribes came together, and led him into their council, saying, 67 rồi nói: “Nếu ông là Đấng Christ, hãy nói cho chúng tôi biết.” Ngài đáp: “Nếu Ta nói cho các ông biết, các ông sẽ không tin; 67 Art thou the Christ? tell us. And he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe: 68 và nếu Ta hỏi các ông, các ông sẽ không trả lời.” 68 And if I also ask you, ye will not answer me, nor let me go.
65 Họ tiếp tục nói nhiều điều khác nghịch lại Ngài, buông lời phạm thượng. 65 And many other things blasphemously spake they against him.
64 Họ bịt mắt Ngài lại và hét lên: “Hãy nói tiên tri đi! Ai đã đánh ngươi?” 64 And when they had blindfolded him, they struck him on the face, and asked him, saying, Prophesy, who is it that smote thee?
63 Những kẻ canh giữ Đức Chúa Jêsus chế nhạo và đánh đập Ngài. 63 And the men that held Jesus mocked him, and smote him.
62 Ông đi ra ngoài và khóc nức nở. 62 And Peter went out, and wept bitterly.
61 Chúa quay lại và nhìn Phê-rô; ông liền nhớ lại lời Chúa đã phán: “Hôm nay, trước khi gà gáy, con sẽ chối Thầy ba lần.” 61 And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.
60 Nhưng Phê-rô đáp: “Này người, tôi không biết ông đang nói gì đâu.” Ngay lập tức, khi ông vẫn còn đang nói, một con gà trống cất tiếng gáy. 60 And Peter said, Man, I know not what thou sayest. And immediately, while he yet spake, the cock crew.
59 Khoảng một giờ sau, một người khác lại khăng khăng nói: “Chắc chắn người này đã ở cùng với ông ấy, vì ông ta cũng là người Ga-li-lê.” 59 And about the space of one hour after another confidently affirmed, saying, Of a truth this fellow also was with him: for he is a Galilaean.
