56 Một cô hầu gái thấy ông đang ngồi gần ánh đèn, nhìn thẳng vào ông và nói: “Người này đã ở cùng với ông ấy.” 56 But a certain maid beheld him as he sat by the fire, and earnestly looked upon him, and said, This man was also with him.
55 Họ đốt một đống lửa giữa sân và ngồi quây quần lại với nhau, có Phê-rô ngồi giữa họ. 55 And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and were set down together, Peter sat down among them.
54 Họ bắt lấy Ngài, dẫn đi và đưa vào nhà Thượng tế. Phi-e-rơ đi theo ở đằng xa. 54 Then took they him, and led him, and brought him into the high priest's house. And Peter followed afar off.
52 Đức Giê-su phán cùng các thượng tế, các viên chỉ huy Đền Thờ và các kỳ mục đã kéo đến bắt Người rằng: "Các ông cầm gươm giáo và gậy gộc mà đến bắt Ta, cứ như thể bắt một tên cướp sao? 52 Then Jesus said unto the chief priests, and captains of the temple, and the elders, which were come to him, Be ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and staves? 53 Ngày nào Ta cũng ở giữa các ông trong Đền Thờ, vậy mà các ông chẳng hề giơ tay bắt Ta. Nhưng giờ đây là giờ của các ông, và là lúc quyền lực của bóng tối lên ngôi." 53 When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.
49 Những người ở cùng Ngài thấy điều sắp xảy ra liền hỏi: "Lạy Chúa, chúng con có nên dùng gươm chém không?" 49 When they which were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword? 50 Một người trong số họ bèn chém vào đầy tớ của Thầy Thượng tế và chặt đứt tai phải của người ấy. 50 And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear. 51 Đức Chúa Jêsus đáp: "Thôi! Đừng làm thế nữa," rồi Ngài chạm vào tai người ấy và chữa lành cho ông. 51 And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.
47 Khi Ngài vẫn còn đang nói, kìa, một đám đông xuất hiện; và người tên là Giu-đa — một trong Mười Hai môn đồ — đang dẫn đầu họ. Hắn tiến lại gần để hôn Ngài. 47 And while he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him. 48 Đức Chúa Jêsus phán cùng hắn: "Giu-đa, ngươi dùng một cái hôn để phản bội Con Người sao?" 48 But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?
44 Vô cùng đau khổ, Ngài cầu nguyện tha thiết hơn; mồ hôi Ngài đổ ra như máu đông rơi xuống đất. 44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground. 45 Ngài ngừng cầu nguyện, đi đến các môn đồ và thấy họ đang ngủ vì đau buồn. 45 And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow, 46 Ngài nói với họ: "Tại sao các con ngủ? Hãy thức dậy và cầu nguyện để khỏi bị cám dỗ." 46 And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.
39 Theo tục lệ, Ngài đi đến núi Ô-liu, và các môn đồ đi theo Ngài. 39 And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him. 40 Khi đến nơi, Ngài nói với họ: “Hãy cầu nguyện để các con khỏi bị cám dỗ.” 40 And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation. 41 Ngài lui ra xa họ một quãng ngắn, quỳ xuống và cầu nguyện, 41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, 42 rằng: “Lạy Cha, nếu Cha muốn, xin cất chén này khỏi con! Tuy nhiên, xin đừng để ý con được nên, nhưng xin ý Cha được nên.” 42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. 43 Một thiên sứ từ trời hiện ra và nói thêm cho Ngài. 43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.
