11 Sau đó, Chúa Giê-su đi đến một làng tên là Na-in, có các môn đồ và một đám đông lớn đi cùng. 11 And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people. Bà là một góa phụ, và có một đám đông lớn đi cùng bà. 12 Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her.

6 Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof: 7 Tôi cũng chẳng xứng đáng đến cùng Chúa. 7 Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed. 8 For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. 9 Đức Chúa Jêsus nghe những lời ấy, lấy làm lạ, bèn quay lại cùng đoàn dân theo sau mà phán rằng: "Ta bảo các ngươi rằng ta chẳng thấy có đức tin như vậy trong dân Y-sơ-ra-ên đâu". 9 When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. 10 And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick.
1 Sau khi Đức Giê-su nói những lời này với dân chúng, Người đến Ca-bê-na-um. 1 Now when he had ended all his sayings in the audience of the people, he entered into Capernaum. 2 And a certain centurion's servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die. 3 And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant. 4 Họ đến gặp Đức Giê-su và khẩn khoản nài xin Người rằng: "Người ấy đáng được Chúa ban ơn này, 4 And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying, That he was worthy for whom he should do this: 5 vì người ấy yêu dân tộc chúng ta và đã xây cho chúng ta một hội đường." 5 For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue.
20 Ngài quay mắt về phía các môn đồ và nói: "Phước cho những người nghèo khó, vì Nước Thiên Chúa thuộc về các con!" 20 And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God. 21 "Phước cho những ai đang đói khát, vì các con sẽ được no đủ!" 21 Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh. 22 "Phước cho các con khi người ta ghét các con, khi họ loại trừ các con, sỉ nhục các con, và xóa tên các con như đồ ô uế vì Con Người!" 22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake. 23 Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets. 24 Nhưng khốn cho các con là những kẻ giàu có, vì các con đang được an ủi. 24 But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation. 25 "Khốn cho các con là những kẻ đang no đủ, vì các con sẽ đói khát!" 25 Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep. 26 "Khốn cho các con khi mọi người đều nói tốt về các con, vì tổ phụ của họ cũng đã đối xử như vậy với các tiên tri giả. 26 Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets. 27 Ta bảo những người đang nghe: Hãy yêu kẻ thù mình, hãy làm ơn cho những kẻ ghét mình, 27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, 28 hãy chúc phước cho những kẻ ngược đãi mình, và cầu nguyện cho những kẻ ngược đãi mình. 28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. 29 Hãy đưa má bên phải cho kẻ vả mình, và đừng từ chối cho kẻ lấy áo ngoài. 29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also. 30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again. 31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. Ngay cả những kẻ tội lỗi cũng yêu những kẻ yêu họ. 32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them. 33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same. 34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again. 35 Hãy yêu kẻ thù mình, hãy làm ơn và cho vay mà không mong đền đáp, thì phần thưởng của các ngươi sẽ lớn, và các ngươi sẽ là con của Đấng Rất Cao, là Đấng nhân từ với kẻ vô ơn và kẻ gian ác. 35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. 36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. 38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. 39 And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch? 40 The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master. 41 Sao ngươi thấy cái rác trong mắt anh em mình, mà chẳng thấy cây đà trong mắt mình? 41 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 42 Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye. 43 For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes. 45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. 46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? 47 Hỡi mọi người đến cùng Ta, nghe lời Ta và đem ra thực hành, Ta sẽ chỉ cho các ngươi biết người ấy giống ai: 47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: 48 người ấy giống như một người xây nhà, đào sâu và đặt nền móng trên đá. Khi nước lụt tràn đến, dòng sông tràn vào nhà ấy nhưng không lay chuyển được, vì nhà được xây trên đá. 48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. 49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.
12 And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. 13 Khi trời sáng, Ngài gọi các môn đồ lại và chọn mười hai người, Ngài cũng gọi là sứ đồ: 13 And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles; 14 Si-môn, mà Ngài đặt tên là Phi-e-rơ, và An-rê em trai của ông, Gia-cơ và Giăng, Phi-líp và Ba-thê-lê-my, 14 Simon, (whom he also named Peter,) and Andrew his brother, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew, 15 Ma-thi-ơ và Thô-ma, Gia-cơ con của A-phê và Si-môn người Nhiệt thành, 15 Matthew and Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon called Zelotes, 16 Giu-đa con của Gia-cơ, và Giu-đa Ích-ca-ri-ốt, kẻ đã trở thành kẻ phản bội. 16 And Judas the brother of James, and Judas Iscariot, which also was the traitor. Một đoàn đông môn đồ của Ngài và một đoàn dân đông đảo, từ khắp Giu-đê và Giê-ru-sa-lem và bờ biển Ty-rơ và Si-đôn, 17 And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases; 18 đến để nghe Ngài và để được chữa lành mọi bệnh tật. 18 And they that were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed. 19 And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.
1 Vào một ngày sa-bát, khi Đức Giê-su đi qua đồng lúa, các môn đệ của Người đang nhổ lúa, lấy ngón tay xoa bông lúa và ăn. 1 And it came to pass on the second sabbath after the first, that he went through the corn fields; and his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands. 2 Một số người Pha-ri-si hỏi: "Tại sao các ông làm điều không được phép vào ngày sa-bát?" 2 And certain of the Pharisees said unto them, Why do ye that which is not lawful to do on the sabbath days? 3 And Jesus answering them said, Have ye not read so much as this, what David did, when himself was an hungred, and they which were with him; 4 Ông vào nhà Đức Chúa Trời, ăn bánh thánh, là bánh chỉ được phép dành cho các thầy tế lễ, rồi trao cho những người theo ông. 4 How he went into the house of God, and did take and eat the shewbread, and gave also to them that were with him; which it is not lawful to eat but for the priests alone? 5 Ngài nói tiếp: "Con Người là Chúa của ngày sa-bát." 5 And he said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath. 6 And it came to pass also on another sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue and taught: and there was a man whose right hand was withered. 7 And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him. 8 But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth. Cứu mạng người hay hủy diệt?" 9 Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it? 10 Ngài nhìn quanh mọi người và bảo người ấy: "Hãy giơ tay ra." 10 And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other. 11 Họ nổi giận và bàn tán xem họ có thể làm gì Đức Giê-su. 11 And they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus.
33 Họ nói: “Các môn đồ của Giăng thường ăn chay cầu nguyện, như người Pha-ri-si, nhưng các môn đồ của ông thì ăn và uống.” 33 And they said unto him, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make prayers, and likewise the disciples of the Pharisees; but thine eat and drink? 34 Đức Chúa Jêsus đáp: “Bạn hữu của chú rể có thể ăn chay khi chú rể còn ở với họ sao? 34 And he said unto them, Can ye make the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? 35 Nhưng sẽ đến ngày chú rể phải rời xa họ, và khi đó họ mới ăn chay.” 35 But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days. 36 Ngài lại phán cùng họ một dụ ngôn: “Không ai lấy vải mới vá áo cũ, e rằng vải mới sẽ rách áo cũ và không vừa với áo cũ. 36 And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old. 37 Cũng vậy, không ai đổ rượu mới vào bầu da cũ, e rằng rượu mới sẽ làm nứt bầu da, làm đổ rượu và làm hỏng bầu da. 37 And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish. 38 But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved.39 Không ai đã uống rượu cũ lại muốn uống rượu mới, vì người ấy nói rằng: “Rượu cũ ngon hơn.” 39 No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.
25 Người ấy đứng dậy, vác cáng, vừa đi về nhà vừa ngợi khen Đức Chúa Trời. 25 And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house, glorifying God. 26 Toàn dân đều kinh ngạc, ngợi khen Đức Chúa Trời và đầy sợ hãi, họ nói rằng: “Hôm nay chúng ta đã thấy những điều kỳ diệu!” 26 And they were all amazed, and they glorified God, and were filled with fear, saying, We have seen strange things to day. 27 Sau đó, Đức Chúa Jêsus thấy một người thu thuế tên là Lê-vi tại sở thuế, thì nói: “Hãy theo ta.” 27 And after these things he went forth, and saw a publican, named Levi, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he said unto him, Follow me. 28 Người ấy đứng dậy, bỏ mọi sự mà đi theo Đức Chúa Jêsus. 28 And he left all, rose up, and followed him. 29 Tại nhà mình, Lê-vi mở tiệc đãi Đức Chúa Jêsus, có nhiều người thu thuế và những người khác cùng ăn với họ. 29 And Levi made him a great feast in his own house: and there was a great company of publicans and of others that sat down with them. 31 And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. 32 Ta đến không phải để kêu gọi người công chính ăn năn, mà là kêu gọi người tội lỗi ăn năn.” 32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
20 Đức Giê-su thấy đức tin của họ, liền nói: "Này người, tội lỗi ngươi đã được tha rồi." 20 And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee. Ai ngoài Đức Chúa Trời có thể tha tội?" 21 And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone? 22 Đức Giê-su biết được ý nghĩ của họ, nên đáp: 22 But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts? 23 Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk? 24 Nhưng để các ngươi biết rằng Con Người có quyền tha tội trên đất này, (Ngài nói với người bại liệt) “Ta bảo ngươi: Hãy đứng dậy, vác cáng của ngươi và đi về nhà ngươi.” 24 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house.
15 But so much the more went there a fame abroad of him: and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities. 16 And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed. 17 And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them. 18 Người ta khiêng một người bại liệt trên cáng đến, và cố khiêng người đó đến trước mặt Đức Giê-su. 18 And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him. Họ trèo lên mái nhà, dỡ ngói, và thả người đó xuống trên cáng trước mặt Đức Giê-su. 19 And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus.
