9 Ông kể dụ ngôn này cho những người tự cho mình là công chính và khinh thường người khác: 9 And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: 10 Có hai người lên đền thờ cầu nguyện, một người là người Pha-ri-si, người kia là người thu thuế.  10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. 11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.  12 Con kiêng ăn hai lần mỗi tuần và con nộp một phần mười thu nhập của mình.” 12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. 13 Nhưng người thu thuế đứng ở đằng xa, không dám ngước mắt lên trời, đấm ngực mà rằng: “Lạy Chúa, xin thương xót con, một kẻ tội lỗi!” 13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. 14 Ta bảo thật các ngươi, người này trở về nhà được xưng công chính hơn người kia. Vì ai tự tôn mình lên sẽ bị hạ xuống, còn ai hạ mình xuống sẽ được tôn lên. 14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Christ's Vision -- The churches' Mission. We speak Vietnamese and have been working with "Overseas Vietnamese" since 2009.  We are a community of doctorally-prepared scholars and supporters in the churches of Christ (Hội Thánh Đấng Christ), researching and planning Worldwide Vietnamese Missions. Remember in prayer the over 90 Million Vietnamese who go to bed each night without knowing the name of Jesus Christ.  We would be happy to speak at your church of Christ meeting about Vietnamese Missions opportunities! We also preach through Zoom by arrangement.  Contact us if you wish to donate preaching books to the VMI Church Leadership Library to support the development of preaching/leadership libraries in Vietnam. Do you have a passion for preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ? We encourage new preachers!  Several online preacher training programs are available to you in the English Language.
